Quinceañera
Cherry Blossoms and Old Town Alexandria! We had the time of our lives photographing this!
I had the pleasure of photographing my first Quinceañera!
We started at Haine’s Point in East Potomac Point
Isn’t the dress just GORGEOUS?!
Quinceañera‘s are a big deal in the Hispanic community! When a girl turns 15 years old they celebrate from girlhood to womanhood! Her mother and I worked on what locations she wanted and planned it around cherry blossoms here in DC area since it was spring time! We did a lot of posing in Hains Point at East Potomac Park in D.C. since that particular park has the Yoshino Cherry Blossoms which bloom at the end of March to beginning of April! This year they peaked EARLY!

She doesn’t do ballet anymore but her mother wanted to incorporate it with the session as it reflects what she has done in her childhood years growing up! We found a couple of murals to get the Urban street feel! It was FUN!
Lastly, we went to Wilke’s Tunnel where she brought out her Color Guard uniform from school!
Well, I had a real fun time doing that special session for her! I would LOVE to photograph others as this is a special time for girls! We spent 2.5 hours and that session turned out amazing!
