Meet The Photographer, KSBJ Photographer

Hi! I’m Kristin, the Owner and Photographer of KSBJ Photography.

I created this name because it’s the initials of my name.

I’m an Army Wife of 17 years, a mom of 4 AWESOME kids! I have two girls and two boys that God blessed me with. My oldest is 13, second oldest is 10, third one is 7, and my fourth is 3. My bookends girls as I call them and my two middle boys!

I wanted to become a Professional Photographer in Germany of 2020 when we were stationed over there. Spring time to be exact. I have been a hobbyist while we traveled around Asia and Europe.

I started my portfolio by practicing on my neighbors and friends before we moved back stateside to Virginia. It’s been almost a year that I got my license and insurance and became official!

I also did some heavy photography school for my AA Degree in Shaw Academy based out of England.

So what do I specialize in you might ask?

I love an array of sessions I enjoy right now. I like photographing families though candid’s the more lifestyle shots I like taking. Portraits are good to capture but certain types of personalities are better then others. I have had the pleasure of photographing some weddings so far which gives me good practice if it’s something I really want to go full time in. I am more detailed focus when it comes to shots in weddings. I enjoy branding for your business (though I haven’t done any headshots for business owners) I like to represent you and your company and what it stands for as I’m a small business owner, too. I like maternity and newborn sessions because it freezes time for both.

I believe every photographer has their niche and style of photography. We all start from somewhere. I know it takes time for some of us to find what we truly enjoy photographing to specialize in.

I am a friendly, laid back, easy going person and enjoy people. I look forward to working with you whether it’s a head shot for social media, new job, your expecting, you just had a newborn, seasonal family session, you have a Highschool Senior graduating, mile stones session for your kids… they grow so fast! Promotion ceremony for Military. Events, you name it and I’ll be happy to work with you!
